Since it's a really old trick I'm not giving much away here.<BR/><BR/>The fake ball in this case is hollow, and only half a ball. It fits snugly over another ball. By dropping the other ball out and presenting only the outside of the half-ball, it looks like one ball has been multiplied by two. Then the other hand comes in carrying another ball, which is tucked into the half-ball on the pretext of moving the ball from one location to another. So two balls then become "three", the hand comes in with yet another ball, and the same thing is repeated.
